Biographies and StatementsSteve Hutton (writer/producer)Biography Steve Hutton gets paid to write stuff that isn't funny (like computer manuals), and hopes to some day get paid to write stuff that is. He has been involved with amateur theatre for several years. This is his first film. Statement This is a film about art and a film about love. That may sound highfalutin for a movie that shows two mimes and a haiku poet in an anal threeway, but you can think of this scene as an allegory of the cross-polination between French and Japanese culture from 1860 to 1920 (known as "japonisme"). I know that's how we thought of it! Gregory Duke (director)Biography Gregory Duke was born and grew up in Sarnia, Ontario. He studied theatre at the University of Guelph. Shortly after graduating he began work on his first feature film, Fluff. He is currently in the process of completing an animated short called The Night Life. Statement I'm frequently amazed that this film made it to completion. It had a lot riding against it, but despite various problems and our relative inexperience we made it work. I'm pretty proud of that. Fluff is a story about turning high art into trashy porn for fun and profit. You don't have to be a fan of Greek theatre, mime, or ass-fucking to enjoy this film, but it also wouldn't hurt. |
